Hawthorn board aspirant calls on members to drive change

A Hawthorn board aspirant says the public nature of Alastair Clarkson’s exit from the club was “embarrassing” and has urged fellow members to push for change.
Lawyer Jennifer Holdstock has again put her hand up to fill a spot on the board after being told previously not to bother.
She told 3AW she had again been approached by hand-picked board members and urged by them not to force an election.
“I think there is a cultural problem there,” she said.
Voting is open to 44,000 eligible Hawthorn members until December 12.
