Hawthorn president hopes Alastair Clarkson can return to the club when he’s ‘comfortable’
Hawthorn President Andrew Gowers hopes four-time premiership coach at the club, Alastair Clarkson, can return to the club when he’s comfortable.
Clarkson hasn’t been present for multiple occasions at Hawthorn including Jack Gunston’s 250th and the premiership reunions.
“We’d love him to come back to the club, when he feels comfortable,” Gowers said.

Gowers also addressed the club’s relationship with Tasmania and revisited comments he made on 3AW last April after their poor start to the season in that year.
“What we say internally is we’re moving from development to performance, and I think what you’re seeing is that the performance is getting better,” he said.
