‘He did not need to apologise’: Leigh Matthews fires back at Craig McRae criticism
AFL coaching great Leigh Matthews has launched a strong defence of Craig McRae amid recent criticism.
Caroline Wilson called out the the Collingwood coach for not acknowledging St Kilda in his post-match press conference on Thursday night, with McRae apologising for the oversite on Tuesday.
But Leigh can’t understand why the current premiership coach felt the need to apologise.

“He did not need to apologise,” he told Wide World of Sports.
“Like seriously…you’re there (at a post-match) press conference to talk about your team.”
