Many suburbs west of Melbourne’s CBD are still waiting for metro train connections to simplify public transport into the central areas of the city.

3AW Mornings host Heidi Murphy highlighted this issue following the disruption to V/Line services on Wednesday and Thursday due to a Telstra outage.

“If you live in the west of this city you are a second-class citizen, you are a cattle-class citizen and you should not be putting up with it,” she said.
