Hero tradie details rescue of children trapped in Kilmore Assumption College school bus crash

First responders are being hailed for their quick thinking and heroic actions in the wake of the Kilmore Assumption College school bus crash.

Tradie at Moreland Glass who was one of the first people on scene, Adam Smith, says he was on his way home from work when he spotted the bus.

“My initial thought was to pull over and make sure everyone was okay … one by one, we just managed to get each kid out of the bus safely and quickly,” he told Jacqui Felgate.

The bus driver is believed to have died of a heart attack when the incident occured.
