Homicide boss sheds light on ‘unexplained’ deaths from mushroom poisoning
Head of the Homicide Squad at Victoria Police, Dean Thomas, has given some details into the “unexplained” deaths of three people, who ate poisonous mushrooms at a lunch in Leongatha last Saturday.
Mr Thomas admits “it’s a really interesting case” with a fourth person fighting for life in hospital, and confirmed a fifth person was at the lunch.
“I can say that of recent time, we’ve not had any cases like this,” Mr Thomas told Neil Mitchell.
