‘Horrible signs’: Tony Shaw weighs in on Essendon’s heavy defeat against Geelong

The undermanned Bombers were outclassed by the in-form Cats, losing by 95 points on Saturday afternoon at the MCG.
On 3AW Football, Tony Shaw weighed in on Essendon’s “very ordinary” performance and thought they should have put more energy into nullifying Geelong midfielders Bailey Smith and Max Holmes.
“I just saw some horrible signs with Essendon, they had an opportunity to teach some youngsters how to play the game and didn’t do it,” Shaw said.

“You allow Holmes and Smith to run around and get 40 possessions each you’re going to get beaten by that margin.”
