Former Western Bulldogs coach Terry Wallace has detailed the elaborate plan the club used to defeat Essendon in the 2000 season.

The Dogs caused one of the AFL’s greatest ever upsets when they defeated the previously unbeaten Bombers by 11 points in Round 21.

The Bombers went on to win the premiership, but the match is largely remembered for the “super flood” the Dogs implemented which shocked the footy world.

Wallace explained how a trip to America inspired the game plan, as well how it was executed on gameday.
