Incoming Melbourne CEO opens up about the sacking of Simon Goodwin

The Demons are yet to announce their next head coach, with an array of names being floated to replace Simon Goodwin.

Incoming CEO Paul Guerra joined Wide World of Sports and spoke about the Melbourne board’s decision to part ways with the 2021 premiership coach.

“Ultimately, it’s a tough call, the right call because we need to set ourselves up for the next decade,” Guerra said on Wide World of Sports.

“We need to look forward, what does the next decade look like, we know we need a new voice, a slightly different game plan and we hope a new coach is going to bring that.”
