‘It kills momentum’: Matthew Richardson and Tony Shaw want to scrap the AFL’s bye round period

The bye rounds have began in the AFL and footy fans across the country have voiced their frustration, with only one round 12 game in Melbourne.

On 3AW Football, Matthew Richardson and Tony Shaw are both against the current bye round period and both think there should be a week off for the entire competition.

“Let’s just have one bye round where everyone has the weekend off,” Richardson said on 3AW Football.
