‘It was unusual’: Dr Peter Larkins weighs in on controversial Aliir Aliir incident

Veteran sports doctor Peter Larkins has admitted it was “unusual” Port Adelaide defender Aliir Aliir was allowed back on the ground after a sickening head clash with teammate Lachie Jones in last night’s Showdown.

Aliir did not undergo a head injury assessment while Jones was subbed out of the game with concussion.

“Surprised is probably under calling my feeling about it,” Dr Larkins told 3AW Football.
