The Tasmania Devils have been born, but a key part of the new team’s identity will be different than what was launched earlier this week

The colours, name, logo and inaugural heritage jumper of the AFL’s 19th team have been made public, with the new team slated to enter the competition in less than four years.

But there was confusion around the exact jumper which the new team will wear as a result of the traditional green kit with map of the state being unveiled at the event.

Sam McClure said the jumper launched was “tired”, but Matthew Richardson – who was a key part of the launch – provided clarity on the playing kit of the new team.
