‘I’ve ridden the bumps’ | Nathan Jones opens up on finals return
Nathan Jones has opened up after Melbourne’s long-awaited return to the finals.
The Demons finished fifth after thumping GWS on Sunday.
Jones played in Melbourne’s last final back in 2006, but has played 253 games since.
He told 3AW Football he empathises with the club’s long-suffering fans.
“It’s been a long, long time for them,” Jones said.
“I’ve ridden all the bumps with them since I’ve been here. I feel their pain.
“Hopefully the journey that it’s taken to get us to this point is making it even more satisfying.”
