Jacinta Allan refuses to confirm timeline on significant Myki upgrades

Premier Jacinta Allan has refused to give a specific day on when Melburnians can expect major Myki upgrades to be rolled out across the public transport network.
The ability to pay using contactless cards—like in other major cities globally—is currently being trialed in selected regional areas.
However, when Tom Elliott directly questioned the timelines for those upgrades to be implemented, Ms Allen couldn’t go into any specific details.

“We have to do the (upgrades) in a way that fits in with the rest of the network,” she said on 3AW.
“We have big changes coming to our train system this year.”
