Jack Silvgani opens up for first time on ‘devastating’ ACL injury

Injured Carlton forward Jack Silvgani has opened up for the first time on the shattering knee injury which ruled him out for the entirety of the 2024 season.

Speaking for the first time since the injury, Silvagni told 3AW he was focused on various projects outside of football as he continues his rehab.

“It was bitterly disappointing,” he said on Wide World of Sports.

“There wasn’t a whole heap to it, it was one of those innocuous one that you see time and time again.”

Jack Silvagni will join 3AW Football for selected games this season as an expert commentator – you can hear his first appearance alongside Matthew Richardson on Sunday for Melbourne vs Western Bulldogs.
