Jake Lever deal done, Devon Smith joins Essendon

Jake Lever is officially a Melbourne player and Devon Smith has joined Essendon.

In a complicated trade, Melbourne sent pick 10 in this year’s draft to the Crows, as well as a future first round selection and fourth round selection.

The Demons also got pick 35 in this year’s draft, as well as a future third round selection from the Crows.

Meanwhile, in somewhat of a shock, the Bombers have parted with their first round pick – No.11 – to land Smith from Greater Western Sydney.

The Dons also get pick 24 and a future second-rounder in the deal.
