James Sicily’s big concession as Hawthorn’s struggles continue

Hawthorn captain James Sicily has conceded his form is struggling as opposition sides put more work into stopping his strengths.

The Hawks were soundly beaten again on Sunday, having only won one match from seven games so far in 2024.

Fronting up on Wide World of Sports on Monday night after the defeat, Sicily admitted both him and his teammates need to “figure it out” as they look to turn their form around.

“I’d love to be going a bit better than I am,” Sicily said on 3AW.

“And I know a lot of the other guys are in the same boat…it’s the nature of the business. Teams are trying to stop us and we just need to figure it out.”
