Jason Johannisen involved in ‘incident’ at Crown Casino
Jason Johannisen was involved in an “incident” at Crown Casino, the Western Bulldogs have confirmed.
However, the club says it’s “very supportive” of the 2016 Norm Smith medallist and how he behaved.
The Dogs said Johannisen and his partner were at Crown with a group of friends at the weekend when a group of males began acting “extremely inappropriately” towards some of the female members of the group.
It sparked an argument – that reportedly did not involve Johannisen – before security intervened.
“Jason was not intoxicated, there have been no complaints made to the club from the public, nor has it received any incident reports from Victoria Police or Crown Casino,” the Bulldogs said in a statement.
“While the club and his management are very supportive of Jason’s handling of the incident due to the inappropriate actions of the group of males toward his girlfriend and her female friends, they are disappointed he was out late.”
