Jeff Kennett returns as Hawthorn president
Jeff Kennett is Hawthorn president again.
The former Premier is replacing Richard Garvey in the role he previously held between 2005 and 2011.
Garvey will continue as a director.
Speaking on 3AW Drive, Kennett said it “was hard” to say no, given his affection for the club.
His chief order of business is establishing the Hawks’ next leadership plan.
Despite recent speculation, he said Simon Lethlean wouldn’t be the club’s next chief executive.
“We will be looking elsewhere,” Kennett said.
Lethlean left the AFL earlier this year due to an “inappropriate relationship” with an AFL staffer.
