Jimmy Bartel reflects on the end of his career

Jimmy Bartel has reflected on the end of his career as an AFL footballer.

The Geelong great spoke about his final year at the club as part of a segment on the Sportsday summer show with Matt Granland.

“I still had a year to run, plain and simple.”

He said he was a “Geelong man” and didn’t entertain the idea of playing at another club.

“Things happen for a reason.”
