Jimmy Bartel’s warning for St Kilda as they continue to chase Tom De Koning

St Kilda host Carlton on Friday night at the MCG and the main discussion is around Blues ruckman Tom De Koning, who has been offered a lucrative deal from the Saints.

On 3AW Football, Jimmy Bartel urged St Kilda to prioritise their promising young stars, before they sign De Koning to a reported $1.7m per year deal over seven seasons.

“Before you go and get TDK, make sure you lock away that young core,” Bartel said on 3AW Football.
