Jon Anderson’s high praise for Isaac Kako after ‘electrifying’ performance against Geelong

3AW Breakfast sports reporter Jon Anderson has praised Essendon young gun Isaac Kako’s “electrifying” performance against Geelong last night.

Kako kicked four goals in the practice match, with Nate Caddy also impressing with three goals, and Anderson thinks it gives the Bombers faithful “genuine excitement” for the season.

“He’ll be playing round one, and he’ll be giving them a small forward that they’ve been looking for for a fair while,” Anderson said on Kako.

“It’s interesting how a player can change the look of a whole side,” he told Ross and Russel.

“You want young players to do well, and that’s what that kid did.”
