Jordan De Goey granted personal leave, will miss crucial clash with GWS

Jordan De Goey has been granted personal leave by Collingwood.

He won’t play against GWS this Sunday.

Collingwood said De Goey had been absent from training this week since returning from Bali and it would continue to support him.

The club did not put a timeline on his return.

It comes after the Pies “strongly condemned the disrespectful conduct” of De Goey shown in footage while he was on holiday.

He was handed a suspended fine of $25,000, which will remain in place until the end of the season.

Collingwood CEO Mark Anderson said the club was extremely disappointed in De Goey’s behaviour which demonstrated disrespect towards women.
