Lachie Neale hits back at critics of Brisbane’s record on the road

A defiant Lachie Neale says he understands why some analysts are critical of Brisbane’s record away from the Gabba, but it isn’t as bad as what many say.

The Lions were stunned by lowly Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday.

Speaking on 3AW after the defeat, Neale said the Lions weren’t good enough on the day but he wasn’t panicking about the club’s record on the MCG, pointing to a big finals win over Melbourne last year.

“I feel like our away record isn’t as bad as everybody says,” he said.
