Legendary commentator Dennis Cometti dies aged 76
Legendary AFL commentator and broadcaster, Dennis Cometti, has died aged 76.
3AW Afternoons host Tony Moclair reacted live on-air to the sad news.

“Nobody was wittier or a greater user of the English language,” Moclair said.
Melbourne great David Schwarz then paid tribute to Cometti, who had the privilege of working with him on Channel Seven for several years.
“He just had a voice that made you enjoy football,” Schwarz said.

Fellow commentator Hamish McLachlan got emotional after finding out the news this morning.
“He was a giant of broadcasting,” McLachlan said on 3AW Afternoons.
