Leigh Matthews and Caroline Wilson clash over Hird debate

The debate rages on over who will be Essendon’s next coach and has even split 3AW’s Caroline Wilson and Leigh Matthews.

Both oppose each other on both Hird’s chances of landing as the new Bombers coach and his ability to help repair the club.

“He’s the person who might be able to unite our club,” said Matthews on 3AW Football.

“I don’t see him as a uniting figure at all,” said Wilson in reply.
