Leigh Matthews fears ‘the iconic’ football position is extinct

It was once football’s most prized position, but Leigh Matthews fears it’s now a thing of the past.
He said the game was currently devoid of the traditional lead-up centre-half-forward, in the style of Nick Riewoldt, Jonathan Brown or Wayne Carey.
“It’s sad, very sad,” he said.
“It’s been the iconic position on the field.”
