Leigh Matthews heaps high praise on Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin

AFL great Leigh Matthews has heaped high praise on Lance “Buddy” Franklin after he announced his retirement yesterday.

Matthews admits “the greatest players of today are better than the greatest players of the previous eras” and claims Buddy has been “as good as anyone in his era”.

But there is one player Matthews says probably has a better highlights tape than Buddy…
