Leigh Matthews launches strong defence of Melbourne amid Christian Petracca trade speculation

Leigh Matthews has launched a strong defence of the Melbourne Football Club amid the trade speculation surrounding their star midfielder Christian Petracca.

Matthews said Petracca went through a “life-changing experience” during the King’s Birthday clash against Collingwood, but thinks the club shouldn’t be solely blamed for Petracca’s reported discontent.

“I just don’t think that Melbourne have done that much wrong,” Matthews said on 3AW’s Wide World of Sports.
