Leigh Matthews reacts to Damien Hardwick’s Dustin Martin ‘blessing’

Leigh Matthews admits he found it “unusual” to hear Dustin Martin would leave Richmond with Damien Hardwick’s blessing.

The Tigers coach was asked on Tuesday about speculation Martin could seek a move to Sydney in the coming years.

Hardwick said Martin had given more than enough to the Tigers in his career to date and would leave with his blessing, should that be his decision.

“I find it a very strange thing to say, to be honest,” Matthews said on 3AW.
