Leon Cameron keeps his promise to 3AW!

Two weeks ago, Leon Cameron made a promise to 3AW.

On July 1, Mark Robinson asked the GWS coach whether or not his side was a serious premiership threat.

Cameron wouldn’t be drawn on the subject, saying the club would need to perform against West Coast and Richmond before they could entertain the thought.

But after running the Eagles to the last minute in Perth, and toppling the Tigers on Saturday, the Giants’ coach couldn’t avoid the question any longer.

“Last night’s game, in such a high-stakes game, was really pleasing,” Cameron told Sunday Sport.

“But I also understand the equation we face.

“We need to keep winning. One loss and we drop out (of the eight) straight away.”
