Richmond has broken a 37-year premiership drought and Dustin Martin has made history in a grand final walloping in front of 100,021 fans at the MCG.

After an initial arm-wrestle, the Tigers surged clear of Adelaide after quarter-time, holding the Crows to their first goalless second quarter ever against Richmond.

It was one-way traffic from there, Richmond kicking 10 goals to four after half-time on the way to a famous 48-point win.

Dustin Martin won the Norm Smith medal for best on ground, completing an astonishing Brownlow-premiership-Norm Smith treble.

Where they won it

“Guys like Townsend, Castanga, Butler, Broad, MacIntosh – the list goes on, no one would’ve believed they’d be premiership players,” Lloydy said.

“But they had a system and a belief and an energy about them that overrides tactics. It overrides talent. And it’s won it again, like the Dogs last year.”

HALF-TIME: Doc Larkins has changed his tip.

Footy’s number one medical man says soft tissue injuries are major concern for the Crows.

“They’re in trouble. I’m with the Tigers now,” he said.

“(Adelaide) is going to really struggle with these soft tissue injures now.”

Defender Jake Kelly is the biggest concern, a hamstring injury putting a massive question mark over the rest of his day.

“He felt something go suddenly. It wasn’t a little strain. He will really struggle. If he does play he’ll be limited.”

Hugh Greenwood: Right calf. limping on both sides.

Charlie Cameron: He hasn’t got that zip and power with a calf injury.

Josh Jenkins: Been talking to the doctor about his breathing due to rib injury.
