THE WASH-UP
Sydney coach John Longmire spoke to 3AW on Saturday afternoon.
He said the Tomas Bugg incident warrants consideration of a send-off rule when the dust settles.
“I think it needs some thought when the sting’s gone out of the situation,” he said.

Sydney has jumped into the eight with a 35-point win.
Lance Franklin finished with four goals as the Swans dominated most of the match.
Tomas Bugg is in hot water after a behind-play hit on Callum Mills (see below).
Lloydy said it was as good a performance as he’s seen from the Swans… apart from the goal-kicking.

HALF TIME
It’s all happening at the MCG.
Sydney has put up 20 scoring shots to five, but lead by just 20 points.
But the big story involves an off-the-ball hit by Tomas Bugg that has seen Callum Mills ruled out with concussion.
Lloydy and Dwayne said it’s the sort of incident that would warrant a send-off rule.

Tony Shaw said Sydney’s been better both on the inside and the outside – and it’s being reflected on the stats sheet.
Doc Larkins said Bugg should be headed for at least a 6-week suspension.
“This is exactly what we’re talking about at nightclubs – you can really hurt somebody with a round-arm punch when they’re not expectying it,” Doc said.

Tomas Bugg could be in trouble for a high hit on young Swan Callum Mills.
Tony Shaw said it was off the ball, high, and high impact.
Mills has been ruled out of the game with concussion.
Matthew Lloyd said Bugg is looking at a “minimum of two weeks”.
Lloyd: “Sydney’s a man down and Bugg’s still running around.”
Dwayne: “I’m coming around to the send-off rule.” #AFLDeesSwans

Sydney’s football manager Tom Harley spoke to 3AW before the game.
He said the club is in “constant dialogue” with out-of-contract players Sam Reid and Zak Jones.
“It’s a complex situation but we’re comfortable that they want to be playing football with us,” Harley said.
