Lloydy supports change to runner rules

Matthew Lloyd supports curbing the role of runners.

Runners will only be allowed on the field after goals and at quarter breaks during the 2018 pre-season.

And Lloydy said he’d like to see the change implemented for the season proper.

“Sometimes it looks like there are as many (runners) as there are players,” Lloyd told 3AW.

“I like the move, and it wouldn’t surprise me if it did come in for the home and away season as well.”
