LOCKED IN: AFL reveals start time for the 2022 Grand Final

This year’s AFL Grand Final will start at the traditional time of 2.30pm on Saturday, September 24.

AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan said despite the success of the Perth twilight event last year, tradition overrode a desire for change.

It was widely expected the AFL would play this year’s decider in a twilight slot.

The biggest game of the season returns to its spiritual home for the first time since 2019 due to COVID-19.
