‘Lowered our colours there’: Jack Silvagni’s reaction to Carlton loss

Injured Carlton forward Jack Silvagni says his side lowered their colours in their contested and pressure game against Sydney on Friday night.

The Blues were smashed by 52 points against the ladder-leading Swans at the SCG, which will see them finish Round 10 outside the top eight.

Speaking on 3AW Football, Silvagni said the Blues “went away” from their core style in the heavy defeat.

“We focus a lot on our contest and pressure and we lowered our colours there to the best side in the competition in my opinion,” he said on 3AW Football.

“It was always going to be a tough challenge going over there, but in terms of what we want stand for, I think we went away from that.”
