Luke Breust’s frank words for Hawthorn teammates

Hawthorn forward Luke Breust has lifted the lid on the club’s heavy training week.

The Hawks were soundly beaten by the Suns last Saturday night, with coach Sam Mitchell flagging post-match that he’d be ramping up the physical approach at training the following week.

“It’s one area of the game – you have to win contest,” Breust told 3AW Football.

“The boys wear mouth guards most training sessions…there’s a few things we’re doing really well and a few other things which are letting us down.

“It’s more about being harder on each other. We had good conversations as leaders, we need to start holding each other to account and speaking out.”
