A St Kilda fan who went viral on Thursday night for injuring himself during a pre-game coin toss at Marvel Stadium has spoken out about the amusing moment.

Nick Harrison was given the privilege of tossing the coin ahead of the Saints’ clash against the Western Bulldogs.

He was then captured pulling up sore after performing the ceremonial duty.

“I did some thumb wars with my daughter to make sure the thumb was right, but I just ignored the legs, unfortunately,” he told Jacqui Felgate.

“It was just a little twinge … if you don’t do the warm-ups tossing the coin, you’ll pay the price.”
