Marcus Bontempelli will captain the Western Bulldogs next year

Marcus Bontempelli will captain the Western Bulldogs next season.

The club announced on Tuesday that the three-time best and fairest winner was its new skipper.

He replaces Easton Wood in the role.

Wood remains in the leadership group.

Lachie Hunter is Bontempelli’s deputy.

Jason Johannisen, Mitch Wallis and Josh Dunkley are also in the club’s leadership group.
