Mark ‘Bomber’ Thompson’s house raided by police

The Port Melbourne home of Essendon great and former Geelong coach Mark Thompson has been raided by police.

Sportsday’s Mitch Cleary said Thompson would be interviewed by police in the coming days.

He has not been arrested and there’s no suggestion of any wrongdoing on Thompson’s part, at this stage.

“We understand it’s part of a wider investigation,” Mitch Cleary said.

Jimmy Bartel played in two premierships under Thompson, but admitted to knowing little about the matter when it broke on Monday.

“Like everybody else, I’m just waiting to hear more,” he said.
