‘Massive no for me’: Matthew Richardson not keen on proposed wildcard round

The AFL is considering implementing a wildcard round before the finals in future seasons, to give more teams a chance to feature in September.

Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin is in favour of a wildcard round, however on 3AW Football’s Matthew Richardson said “It’s a massive no for me.”

“I don’t want teams that are sitting with a less than 50% win-loss record having a chance to play in the finals,” Richardson said on 3AW Football.
