Matt Rowell to Collingwood reports ‘getting stronger and stronger’ according to AFL great

James Hird says reports linking Matt Rowell to Collingwood are “getting stronger and stronger” as a decision looms on his future.

The Gold Coast midfielder is yet to re-sign with the club, with a call either way expected to come in the coming weeks.

Hird said there was one key decision the 23-year-old would be weighing up as he wrestles with his footballing future.

“The (Matt Rowell to) Collingwood rumours are getting stronger and stronger,” Hird said on the Eddie and Jimmy podcast.

“If you’re Matt Rowell where would you rather play, Collingwood or the Gold Coast.”
