Matthew Lloyd comments on Sam Draper’s reported departure from Essendon

Essendon great Matthew Lloyd has commented on the news ruckman Sam Draper is reportedly set to leave the club for either Adelaide or Brisbane in 2026.

Lloyd told Jacqui Felgate “you don’t see anyone leaving good clubs, or clubs at the top,” while also talking about defender Jordan Ridley’s desire to leave the club.

“He’s had a lot of injuries (Draper), but he’s still their best ruckman,” Lloyd said on 3AW Drive.
