Matthew Lloyd explains why a GWS win would be one of the best ever

Matthew Lloyd says he’ll be very surprised if Greater Western Sydney can knock off Richmond in Saturday’s preliminary final.

And not just because of recent form.

We’re set for one of the most one-sided MCG crowds in the history of football, with 95,000 fans tipped to pack into the ground.

Almost all of them will be supporting Richmond.

“It’s 95,022 against 22, really,” Lloyd said on 3AW.

“If they can get through this game, it will be one of the great wins in the history of football.”
