Matthew Lloyd questions Taylor Walker’s performance
Matthew Lloyd says Taylor Walker’s poor performance against Collingwood last Friday was “symptomatic” of Adelaide’s effort in their shocking 48-point loss to the Pies.
“I probably saw five or six efforts in the first quarter that he won’t think were great when he watches them back,” Lloyd said on Sportsday.
“He would have known that on the night.
“I thought it was symptomatic of how the way Adelaide played. The effort wasn’t there.”
Gerard Healy asked Lloydy if he thought Walker was playing injured.
“I’m old school – if you cross the line and play you can’t excuse yourself,” he said.
“If that’s the way he’s going to be, he shouldn’t be playing.”
