Matthew Lloyd says the Bulldogs need to “blink first” in Stringer trade
Matthew Lloyd says the Bulldogs need to “blink first” in negotiations over Jake Stringer.
The Bulldogs are in talks with the Bombers over the troubled forward, with the Bombers putting picks 25 and 30 on the table.
The Dogs have yet to accept the offer, but Lloyd told Sportsday they will ultimately have no choice.
“It’s untenable for him to go back,” Lloyd said.
“For the Bombers, if he doesn’t play for them, they’ll move on pretty quickly.”
Sportsday newsbreaker Mitch Cleary said Bryce Gibbs’ trade to Adelaide, which nearly went through on Wednesday, hangs on negotiations over future picks.
