Matthew Lloyd speaks on Collingwood’s pursuit of ‘forced out’ Swans midfielder

The Magpies are set to make a play for a midfielder in the final three days of trade period, after showing strong interest in midfielders Jy Simpkin and James Rowbottom.

On the Weekend Break, Matthew Lloyd had his say on Collingwood’s trade targets, saying their midfield is “slow and one-paced”.

“I think he’s been potentially forced out of Sydney a little bit,” Lloyd said about Rowbottom.

“Only a one year deal potentially on the table for him at the Sydney Swans, so they’re probably happy with him to explore his options.”
