Matthew Lloyd’s fresh mail on Zach Merrett as trade deadline looms

Essendon great Matthew Lloyd has some fresh mail on club captain Zach Merrett as Wednesday night’s trade deadline fast approaches.

Lloyd has been strong on Merrett’s likelihood to end up at the Hawks by the end of the trade period, but he’s starting to sway the other way.

“My mail is that Hawthorn haven’t presented anything close enough for the Bombers to consider,” Lloyd said on The Trade Off podcast.
