Matthew Richardson says he can’t understand why North Melbourne’s big name recruiting targets keep being leaked publicly.

Reports surfaced on Wednesday the Roos had offered Collingwood’s Jordan De Goey $5 million over five years.

North hasn’t hidden from the fact it’s chasing a big name, offering big deals to Dustin Martin and Josh Kelly last year.

Richo finds it interesting.

“Why do these North Melbourne deals keep being played out in public? I don’t understand it,” he said on Sportsday.

“Martin and Kelly last year … now this … I just don’t get it.”

Sportsday newsbreaker Tom Morris believes the Roos may be hoping for a “flow on effect”.
