Star Western Bulldogs forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan won’t play in Thursday night’s crunch game against St Kilda.

The Dogs are in desperate need of a win, but will have to do it without the 22-year-old, who will miss the game due to personal reasons.

Matthew Richardson says Ugle-Hagan was his side’s best player in their loss to Essendon last week, saying teammate Aaron Naughton will have to step up in his absence.

“(Ugle-Hagan) was their best player last week,” he told Wide World of Sports.

“It’s a massive out – he’s in terrific form and is coming of age as a key forward.”
